Emma Waterfall
Founder & Managing Director in London, United Kingdom
Emma Waterfall is a communications expert with more than 14 years of experience working for various companies specialising in public affairs.
In 2011, Emma decided to set up her own business, Cascade Communications. She recognised that a specialist communications agency could better manage the needs of clients in property and planning, given the expert knowledge required to understand and communicate the challenges developments face in winning support. The consultancy, based in Soho, has accomplished much since it began, earning the respect of high-profile clients for its ability to deliver results through their work on high profile, complex developments in London and the south-east.
Emma’s past and present client list includes: Affinity Sutton, Battersea Power Station, Capco, Church Commissioners, CIT Group, Dalian Wanda, Greenland English Heritage, Linden Homes, London Square, LB Hammersmith & Fulham, RB Kensington & Chelsea, Redrow, Red & Yellow Care, Royal College of Art, Sainsbury's, SW London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, Taylor Wimpey Central London and Transport for London. For each of these clients, Cascade has provided a range of services such as community consultation, public affairs, stakeholder audits, media engagement, local intelligence and monitoring reports, campaign work, community workshops and construction communications.
Cascade Communications won Consultancy of the Year in December 2017 at the Public Affairs Awards, having been shortlisted for the same award in 2016. Other shortlisted awards include: Microbusiness of the Year at the Growing Business of the Year Awards, Corporate Campaign of the Year and Planning Campaign of the Year at the Public Affairs Awards in 2017. Emma was also shortlisted for a Professional Services Award at the inaugural Variety Catherine Awards in 2016 which recognises the contributions of women in business.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys cycling, running and travelling. Combining her love for the outdoors, she's competed in various marathons, including Marathon des Sables, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, and cycled from London to Cannes. These activities have helped raise thousands of pounds for charity.
