Emily Jenvey
Artist and Student in Ontario, Canada
Emily recently received a certificate in Drawing and Painting for the completion of the course at Halliburton School of Art and Design.
These days she is interested in exploring the movement away from representational to abstract and non-representational. She is also intrigued by portraiture and the human form.
She is heavily influenced by abstract expressionism. An artist that has had a great impact in her work as of recently is Gerhard Richter. She uses very similar techniques as him in a smaller format and different materials.
Another artist that Emily is influenced by is Pietro Annigoni who worked with oils as well but he did a lot of monochrome portrait drawings which is what influenced her to experiment working in monochrome and portraiture.
