Eileen Mock
Librarian in Delta Junction, Alaska
My professional career in teaching began in Savannah, Georgia where I taught kindergarten and first grade for six years. I moved to Delta Junction, Alaska in 2006 where I continued to teach first grade for the next 11 years. This past year I became the district librarian for three libraries and serve about 750 students. My first year as a librarian has been a whirlwind and I have learned so much, but I know it's just the beginning.
My biggest professional accomplishment was being named Teacher of the Year in 2015.
I am a member of the American Library Association, American School Library Association, Alaska Library Association, Alaska School Library Association, Delta Greely Education Association (Past President), Alaska Education Association, and the National Education Association.
