Yvonne Singleton Davis, born and raised in New York City, is the Founder/CEO of Sister to Sister: One in the Spirit, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not for profit/tax-exempt empowerment organization for girls and women. She's passionate about empowering the lives of girls and women in the United States, and on the Continent of Africa. She's an inspirational and empowerment speaker, a published author, a contributing writer to, and recently made Assistant Editor-at-Large for the Gumbo for the Soul Publications. She is an emerging journalist with membership in the National Association of Black Journalists. She was a featured educator in a past documentary aired on WABC-TV’s “Like It Is,” with the late Gil Noble; and was nominated to receive the Walt Disney American Teacher Award (2000). She made a guest appearance on a talk show aired on 98.7 WRKS-FM Radio (2005); and again, on 90.3 WHCR (2011). She loves swimming, water aerobics, aerobics-on-land and walking. Yvonne resides in New York City with her husband, Wesley J. Davis.
