I am a travel professional with an insiders edge and a budget conscious mind.
Those fourteen words of gut wrenching truth just took me about forty-five minutes to come up with. Thank you, four years of studying journalism!
I am so passionate about travel, I sometimes find it really hard to translate that feeling into words (again, contemplating my ENTIRE livelihood).
Let me try to explain...
I think it's like when you are six months into a new relationship. This guy/girl is amazing. He/She is way out of your league, can make you melt with a single touch, gets along with ALL of your friends AND is a ripper shag.
You are in love, so in love, so so SO in love!
You go to tell them how you feel...
"I love you", you say.
They know this, everyone knows this. It's not enough.
"I love you more than ANYTHING", you continue.
But the words still don't feel strong enough.
"I love you to INFINITY plus one, no, plus more than one, plus INFINITY".
A satisfied smile sneaks onto your face. Point proven. NOTHING beats infinity plus infinity.
THAT is how I feel about traveling. I know that most people love to travel, but do they love it to "infinity plus infinity"? Surely not.
Travel isn't just a hobby for me, it's my life. It's my work and my play, An obsession that was drilled into after my first overseas trip at age 15.
Where I've been?
Across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.
What's next?
Antarctica and South America will complete my aim of visiting all continents before I'm 30.
What am I good at?
Traveling comfortably on a tight budget.
Why should you listen to me?
I am a qualified travel agent and have spent the past year having weekly training days on travel options from across the globe. I know the ins and the outs of the travel biz and I love helping people who don't have much, to see it all.
Impress me?
Okay, my first big trip was when I was 18. I scraped together enough cash for flights. I bought ticks to the USA with a mate and worked as much as I could before we left. For the two months we spent there I had $1200 to my name, and I didn't miss out on anything! My next trip was to Europe for 3 months, I upped my pocket money to $1900 and lived the dream!
How?!
Read on, my friend. You will uncover all of my secrets!
