I’m a Lead Developer at Aevus, building software remotely from North Wales. Over the last 20+ years, my work has spanned Django and Vue multi-tenant platforms, LAMP-stack web applications, and IoT telemetry systems.

My core focus is taking complex, ambiguous requirements and turning them into clean, well-tested, and easily maintainable software—while supporting other engineering teams to do the same.

OpenEnergyMonitor — Maintained the core PHP/Vue codebase for open-source energy monitoring and containerized 30+ IoT devices for secure remote management.

Tŷ Waunfawr — Designed and deployed smart home systems for a local social enterprise.

The Prospects Trust — Developed web architecture for a Cambridgeshire-based charity.

Alongside my primary role, I run Digitalis, an independent smart home consultancy. Building self-hosted Raspberry Pi, MQTT, Grafana, and Home Assistant setups keeps my hands dirty on the embedded side and provides a tight feedback loop with real-world users.
