Ena Music

Ena is a current MSc Candidate at the University of Waterloo. She is studying the effects of various stressors on heme oxygenase-1 accumulation in Xenopus cells.

Over four years as a teaching assistant, she has taught over 350 students in a variety of settings, from one-on-one, to tutorial or laboratory teaching, to 100-person review sessions.

She is involved in an executive capacity with both the Biology Graduate Student Association and the Tea Culture Club (yes, that's a thing!), and goes on classroom visits with Let's Talk Science, a non-profit science outreach program. Additionally, she volunteers as a writer and proofreader for the university's student newspaper, Imprint, and at the Canadian Blood Services.

She intends to merge her love of science, teaching, reading, and writing in a cross-discipline career.
