Early Life and Education
Prof. Dr. M. Enamul Hossain earned his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1995. He completed his MSc in Petroleum and Mineral Resources Engineering in 2001 and received his PhD in Sustainable Petroleum Engineering and MBA from Dalhousie University, Canada, in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
Career
Prof. Hossain is the CEO and President of NSRIC Group, holding the NSRIC Chair in Sustainable Energy. He has served as an adjunct professor at multiple institutions globally, including Memorial University of Newfoundland, Ryerson University, and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He has a significant background in the oil and gas industry and academia, specializing in environmental sustainability within petroleum engineering.
Contributions and Achievements
Dr. Hossain introduced the memory concept for petroleum applications and holds 11 US patents. He has authored over 200 scientific articles and ten books on sustainability and petroleum engineering. He has secured over $16.9 million in research funding from prominent organizations like Statoil, Saudi Aramco, and NSERC.
Philanthropy
In 2009, Dr. Hossain founded the Aziza Trust, a charitable organization aimed at providing education to underprivileged students. He also established NSRIC Education City in Chattogram, Bangladesh.
