The ENERGY Research And Development group (Energyrad) is characterised by highly interdisciplinary networking in energy, markets and policy regulation. Founded in 2010's, energyrad provides a multi-institutional and interdisciplinary forum for the analysis and discussion of energy economics.

Energyrad promotes basic and applied research on issues related to energy policy and technology, to support decision-making by government and industry. Participants can and do speak on their own behalf in the broader public policy debate.

Energyrad's agenda includes the economics of electricity production and use, the evolution of the industry and its regulatory institutions, transition paths and strategies, and related public policy goals. The results of the research are disseminated through publications, workshops, educational programs and other public outreach activities.
