The color of the diamond is alsoimportant and the more colorless the diamond the more valuable itwill be. An absolutely colorless diamond will have a grade of D. The grading scale starts at D and will end with Z. The diamondsbetween the two ends of the scale will have subtle color changeswhich may not be noticeable to those without training.
There are generally 57 to 58 facets toa diamond cut and if they are done too shallow or too deep, thesparkle of the diamond will be less brilliant.
The clarity of a diamond is somethingthat a lot of people know about and spend too much time on. Todetermine the clarity of the diamond, you will need to look through ajeweler's loupe to see the inclusions or flaws.
