England, United Kingdom

Zimbabwean born bush mad, highly passionate about wildlife and conservation in general.

From as far back as I can remember I started showing people nature. When not leading my sisters around the garden to look at bugs, you would find me reading nature books or watching videos so I could tell people more about animals.

Taking up the camera was the logical progression to show others the scenes and animals I found whilst out exploring.
At the age of 12 my whole world shifted when my family was forced to leave Zimbabwe. ( I think we all know the political situation there)

Moving to the UK was a big step for the family but enabled me to complete my high school with 12 GCSE's.

Inevitably I moved towards the wildlife route after school and completed a National Diploma in Game keeping and Wildlife management.

Quite by chance I found a Wildlife photography degree in Blackpool of all places. So off I went to follow a career I was not too sure about if I am honest. By the end of the Degree I had found a real passion for wildlife photography and in particular showing others how to get close to animals.

Still yearning for Africa I ran back as soon as I could to train as a Safari guide. After 6 months of training I was qualified and moved to Kruger national park working as a walking guide and anti poacher. It was heaven for me but I knew my ambition would push me further.

21 years old I teamed up with a friend and investor to start my first company called Picture Africa. Specialising in long photographic course in South Africa. We built a camp on the river where we now could teach field craft and take guests out to get images of the wildlife.

Few years later we have gone our separate ways and now I run photographic safaris alone around Africa. Working with well-known professional photographers as co-tour leaders we offer 10-day photographic safaris.
