Engine and Transmission World

Engine and Transmission World was originally founded in 1987 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And the goal of it was pretty simple: to give people more options than just a junkyard when it comes to used parts. To be even more specific about it, they wanted to specialize in the things that are the hardest to find when it comes to keeping a car running - engines and transmissions.

The work was clearly cut out for them. There's been a lot of marketing since then - ongoing even today - which says that a car is simply no good anymore if you have to replace one of those parts. It'll cost too much, it's worth more than the car you're fixing, how about a nice new vehicle instead?

But Engine and Transmission World didn't buy it. They knew that a used engine or a used transmission was every bit as good as a new one, without the added price. They just had to be good enough, to be a better service than the dealerships that are trying to put people under financing plans.

And it's turned out well. As a result of their diligence, they've sold over 400,000 parts in the past 24 years.
