A bridge engineer by trade, a geek/nerd by choice. My engineering training started at NC State. While working on my masters in structural engineering, I started in the engineering field at URS designing bridges. After a couple of years, I branched out and moved back home to Charlotte to work for STV (formerly Ralph Whitehead Associates). Now I am the light rail expert for North Carolina...or at least I like to tell myself that. I have worked on the historic trolley, then South Corridor and now have progressed to being the Structural Lead for the Blue Line Extension connecting to UNCC.

Evenings are spent restoring old pipes, enjoying a nice smoke through one of those pipes, enjoying a dram of scotch and hanging out with my wife.
