This includes constructing and maintaining UN field bases, emergency shelters, hospitals, road networks, and water supply systems essential to mission continuity and civilian welfare.

Due to the ongoing security situation in the region, the position requires continuous stay within the secured UN compound until contract completion or official rotation.

  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies under conflict-zone constraints.
  • Ensure all structures meet UN engineering and safety standards.

  • Environment: War-zone operations; high stress and restricted mobility

Risk & Security Level

Aleppo remains a high-threat region with unpredictable military and insurgent activity.

Personnel movement is restricted to UN convoy operations. All construction sites are under strict security supervision by UN Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS).

Field engineers often face exposure to hazardous environments, unstable structures, and heavy machinery risks.
