Read my book

Years ago, I wrote an adventure/fantasy story for my children. At its core, it came from my childhood imagination, but the main protagonist closely favored my quiet son, Nathaniel. Despite publication attempts, that story left no mark on the world. I shelved it for the better part of 10 years.

In 2009, God entered my life and turned it upside down. In the process of reshaping my desires and ambitions, the Lord opened doors and allowed me to hone my writing craft, through peer support writing sites (like Faithwriters and The Next Big Writer to name a few). When HE felt I was ready, opportunities surfaced and I was able to revisit my original story, revamp, polish, and self-publish it. The result was my first book entitled, "Paraclete's Promise: The Fantastic Fantasies Of Timothy". This amazing tale of a young boy's incredible adventures will not only enchant readers, but also introduce them to the Holy Spirit.

Nine-year-old Timothy hates being stuck in the house, while everyone else plays outside. He hates reading. What he desires most, is the one activity his parents won’t allow: playing video games. Sulking in the basement, Timothy discovers an ordinary cardboard box, igniting his imagination. In the blink of an eye he is whisked away, where pretend play unexpectedly warps into incredible reality. Suddenly, Timothy faces terrible monsters, hair-raising adventures and impossible odds during his never-ending struggle to find a way home. All the while, he is subtly guided by the secret promise of an invisible companion.

When God grants gifts, He goes all out. I took a chance at dabbling with my musical hobby in 2011, and decided to couple my love of keyboard playing with beat production. The result of that endeavor was a seven track EP entitled, "The Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" currently available as a free download on Noisetrade and BandCamp, under my artist name "Bro. E" (noisetrade.com/broe or www.ennissmith.bandcamp.com). This music sets my love of the Lord and His word to 80s and 90s-style hip hop beats and melodies. It's the best I have to give back to the creator of all things. Music is universal and you're never too old to share the gospel with folks.

Don't ever stop dreaming. God can take nothing special and turn it into something extraordinary. Don't stop believing.
