Enrique Arevalo

A recipient of the U.S. Attorney General’s Award for Meritorious Public Service, attorney Enrique Arevalo has gained a national reputation for his expertise in immigration and naturalization law. A legal commentator on the Telemundo television network in Los Angeles, he also acts as a Designated Legal Consultant on immigration issues to the Mexican General Consulate in Los Angeles. Enrique Arevalo founded the Law Office of Enrique Arevalo in Los Angeles in 1984, outgrowing the original site and relocating to South Pasadena in 1993. The firm includes two receptionists, three management employees, five paralegals, and six attorneys. Specializing in such issues as naturalization, deportation, immigrant visas, political asylum, and citizenship, Enrique Arevalo and his firm have earned three published decisions, including Matter of Luviano by the U.S. Department of Justice Board of Immigration Appeals and De Leon v. INS by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. All three decisions affected national case law in immigration. Enrique Arevalo and his attorneys also vigorously represent clients before other immigration courts and federal district courts. A former President of the Mexican American Bar Association and recipient of the Cruz Reynoso Community Service Award, Enrique Arevalo served on the Board of Directors of the White Memorial Medical Center Charitable Foundation for five years, as well. He holds memberships in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Montana. Enrique Arevalo also belongs to the Western State University College of Law Alumni Association. Enrique Arevalo remains active in his community, aiding the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Southern California, the Central American Resource Center, and an immigration forum community outreach program on KWHY-TV. He also serves as a judge for the Moot Court Competition at the Western State University College of Law. In his leisure time, Enrique Arevalo reads, attends concerts, takes in foreign movies, and watches the news. He also stays active, hiking and playing tennis and golf.
