Gaurav Pandey

Mr. Gaurav Pandey is an environmental expert, with a M. Tech in Environmental Engineering from TU and STC on Advances in wastewater treatment and technologies from IIT Delhi. He moved to the New Delhi and held as a research consultant at The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI), Indian Habitat Centre. Before joining TERI he worked as a research intern at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi and has been worked at Star Papers Mills Ltd., Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

His interest in environmental engineering was awakened when he had the great fortune to be mentored by Dr. R K Pachauri, Director General, TERI and ex-President, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

After returning to India, he set up his own Company, Environgineer Consultant Private Limited that has recently started its grassroots’ level clients linkages in India and abroad for various services, such as water resources management, wastewater management, treatability studies, operation & maintenance services, eco management and audit systems, professional development programs and upgradation of treatment plants.

Currently, he is working with a leading privately funded university in western Uttar Pradesh with over 15000 enrolled students. He is also an Associate Editor of the International Journal on Science and Technology Review (IJSTR). He is a keen environmentalist, and spends a large part of his personal time in evangelizing with engineering graduates and public about the scientific methods of water resource management. He is also concerned about the worsening water scenario in India, and believes that with proper public guidance and improved laws, the situation can be salvaged to a large extent. He has carried out several campaigns on this subject, and working on various projects of Environment and Energy and so far he guided 15 masters and 20 graduate students for their minor and major research work and wrote many International and national research papers. His current research interests include Atmospheric Science and Chemistry, Designing of treatment units for Air/Water/Solid Waste (Pollutant) Treatment, EIA, Policies, Act & Legislation and beauty of Environment.
