E.N. West, affectionately known as "E" (they/them), proudly hails from the DC metropolitan area, by way of Alexandria, Virginia. E deeply believes "we are uninhibited when we know our power" and is committed to co-creating a world where everyone intimately knows how powerful they are and directs that power toward collective liberation. E is many things, but at the heart of all of them, they are a community organizer based in Seattle, Washington.

E has twelve years of experience across the nonprofit and government sector(s), focusing on emergent, grassroots, community based organizations. They’ve found a home in the equitable community development and land justice ecosystem(s), organizing at the intersection of purpose, place, people and power.

As they intentionally transition into a new era of their career, E is enrolled in barber school with a long term vision of cutting hair and helping other people. During this transition, they are collaborating with friends on projects that center land, housing, racial, and/or environmental justice.

E is an alum of the following fellowships and institutions:

• William & Mary, Bachelor of Arts in American Studies & Government

• Young People For (YP4) Fellowship

• Justice Leadership Program (United Church of Christ)

• Krista Foundation for Global Citizenship

• Community Impact Fellowship (RVC)

• Community Leadership Institute Fellowship (Puget Sound Sage)

Outside of work, E stays embodied through boxing and running. They enjoy writing and reading social justice literature, listening to social justice and pop culture podcasts, watching psychological thrillers and horror movies, learning languages, and being a “man about town” in whatever zip code they’re in.
