Edouard Claude OUSSOU
Entrepreneur, Public Speaker, and Director in Libreville, Gabon
Edouard Claude Oussou is a Gabonese strategic leader specializing in corporate turnaround and institutional transformation in the African mining sector.
As CEO of CGCO, a state-owned precious metals trading company (SEM/FGIS subsidiary), he led a full organizational recovery — resolving a decade of uncertified accounts through Ernst & Young certification, restoring expired government authorizations, and building a commercial pipeline from zero operating budget in under seven months.
Previously Head of Strategy & R&D at Société Équatoriale des Mines (SEM), he drove strategic planning across five subsidiaries, integrating ESG frameworks and contributing to national mining regulatory reform.
Before entering the mining sector, he founded Scientia Africa, an EdTech platform operating across three African countries, twice recognized among the Top 40 Education Innovators in Africa by the African Union.
Edouard holds a Global Executive Master in Management from HEC Paris, an Executive Certificate from Northwestern Kellogg, and is a Mandela Washington Fellow. He is currently developing original research on planetary governance models for extractive industries.
