Edward James
I never used to like photos in fact I hated them. In hindsight I
regret my hate for photos simply because I have none or should I say had none.
Until last year I could only rely on mental images for memories of
events and was always embarrassed when someone was to ask me if I had any
pictures. That all changed in the spring of '11' when I decided to take a trip
to Thailand with my partner, our first overseas holiday. Before we left I did a
little (ok I lie, a lot) of research in to digital SLR's and purchased a Canon
60D with an 18-200mm lens. I had six hours on the flight to read up on my new
found toy and one week of beautiful scenery to fumble around the camera and try to figure it out.
No longer do I hate photo's I love them. My album grows with every
photo shoot and although my family lives on the other side of the country from
me I am able to share with them and the rest of the world the places I've been
and the things that I've seen. So come with me on a journey and see what I see,
experience the wonders of the world through my digital eyes and feel free to
share yours with me.
Edward James.
