Greetings, I’m John. I run a website in the U.S. called Epic Wilderness. I am a fan of hunting, fishing, hiking, travel, and survival skills. Check out some of my articles by clicking read my blog above.

After living in the Pacific Northwest for the past 8 years I have come to have a deep appreciation of the outdoors. There is no better way to spend an afternoon that walking through the evergreen forests of Central Oregon.

Getting out and appreciating nature takes many forms for me. I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and more.

My blog started as a way for me to share my experiences and grew into a vehicle for sharing my passion with my readers. Over time readers began requesting that I review products that I used on my adventures. I've done my best to provide honest and unbiased opinions.

Hunting is something that I got into at a very early age. This started in the Southeast U.S. Now I regularly go hunting all over the country. This includes elk hunting, moose, and of course deer.

Fishing is another passion of mine. I've been lucky enough fish in rivers such as the Columbia, Snake, Metolious, and dozens of lakes and rivers across the Southeast U.S.
