Equity Machineries Incorporated
Corporate Office in Cauayan City, Philippines
The Company’s founding history dates back to as early as 1949, through the pioneering legacy of its founder parents who owned and managed Cauayan City’s Electric Company, the Cauayan Electric Corp. The business has evolved from managing an electric plant to farming vast tracks of lands which the family owned and filled with the use of farm machinery such as CATERPILLAR and FORDSON tractors, mechanized threshers and other farm implements, a novelty in the rural areas at that time during the postwar Philippines. The decision to found the Company may also be attributed as a result of the Marcos government’s promulgation of a Presidential Decree, sequestering all privately-owned electric plants to be under government control; The Founding Chairman named the new Company as Isabela Machineries. On March 12, 1975, Isabela Machineries evolved into its present name Equity Machineries, Incorporated. As its corporate name implies, it has, from its inception, the goal to conduct business on the core principles of Trust, Honesty, and Fairness, which the company firmly upholds up to this day. Up to this day, EQUITY MACHINERIES, INC. still dominates the agricultural machinery business in the whole of Region II and has, among its immediate plans to expand its operations in the entire country, offering and focusing on the sales and distribution of agri-machineries, parts and maintenance services.
