Elizabeth Raines McCartney

I am a seasoned public policy and strategic communications professional with fifteen years of experience. As an exceptional writer and experienced speaker, I am relied upon for facilitating positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In my current role, I lead the legislative and grant work for the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board.

As a pragmatic optimist, I bring rationale thinking and a positive attitude to my work every day. I also look forward to a challenge. I am passionate about promoting data-driven policy, completing outcomes-focused work, and communicating effectively. I am committed to prioritizing reading and making time to listen to others in order to fulfill my goal of being a lifelong learner.

I received a Master of Public Policy Degree from George Mason University. I earned a BA with honors in Political Science and with honors in Communication from the University of Cincinnati.
