Eray Akdag is the Public Policy and Corporate Relations Director of Borusan Holding.

Before joining Borusan Holding, he had been the Corporate Representative & Government Relations Executive of a leading Business NGO, formed by the owners and CEOs of the largest national & international companies in Turkey, since 2003. With a unique structure in Turkey, approx. 60 full time professionals directly work for TUSIAD. These professionals coordinate approx. 400 member company executives and directors who are a part of sectoral roundtables and working groups.

Representing every critical sector, TUSIAD has a wide circle of influence, limited not only to Turkish regulatory environment and is a member of OECD-BIAC, Global Business Coalition, BUSINESSEUROPE, BRICA & BUSINESSMED.

Apart from advising the Board of Directors of TUSIAD, his business advocacy experience is mainly focused on governmental institutions, but includes diplomatic and private sector stakeholders, including major companies and NGOs, as well. Since 2003, he has been analyzing Turkish politics and foreign policy, monitoring regulations, making presentations on future expectations and advising TUSIAD structures.

His main responsibilities include but not restricted to "improvement of the effectiveness of TUSIAD’s timely, influential participation to political & administrative decision-making processes" . He's been in a series of continuous relationships not only with public authorities, political parties, private sector entities, civil society organizations, but also with diplomatic missions & public and private international institutions. As a keen follower of the EU Accession Process, his work also has a special emphasis on harmonization with the Acquis Communautaire.

As a responsible citizen, he's been contributing to various non-profit initiatives as well.

He's a professional scuba diver, a licensed sailor, an amateur equestrian & interested in art, technology & self-improvement.
