Ratih Dwi
Indonesia
erdeaka stands for Ratih Dwi Astuti Kusumawardhani (in Indonesian pronunciation). Preferably called Ratih Dwi, she has been translating several romance books and is very much interested in Western contemporary literature (European, American, and Latin), women issues, and pop culture. Her passion in Western literature might come from her love for English language, which was accomplished when she studied English Language and Literature in Sebelas Maret University. Reading and writing have been in her blood since childhood, and she recently does book blogging in order to be “actively” producing thoughts and reviews after “passively” reading books. Besides book reviews, she also sometimes writes fiction stories and poems.
Translating novels, to her, has been a daily job she consideres “correlated” with her passion in literature. Other than working behind computer, her daily activities include listening to pop/rock music, watching favorite movies, tweeting, and sleeping. Her main dreams now are reading as many Western contemporary literary works as she can, becoming a reliable translator and editor, getting a master's degree in Contemporary Literature and Culture, and traveling across the Europe.
She now lives in Solo, Indonesia, while enjoying her job and doing a little exercise to keep her health.
