I am fascinated about IT since I am 6 years old. Started with an 386 computer with about 4 MB RAM and 102 MB HDD. I wanted to know how to code. So I started under MS DOS and have had a look at the "Snake" example program in QBasic (who else knows?). I started beeing a professional coder at the age of 16. Since then I created bigger and bigger projects. Startups up to big companies were my customers. During my time at the University I focused on the math behind computer games (but I never liked playing them ;)) as a bachelor and then digged into distributed systems as master. At the University I had to pass a statistics exam and failed. After that I started getting into statistics and realized how fascinating it is to use data and build up machine learning algorithms. I love statistics and especially neural networks are fascinating! My current work forced me to focus on Blockchain and I started thinking about using deep learning to understand the Blockchain, especially the one from Bitcoin and now I am writting my PhD thesis in that specific topic: Analyzing the Blockchain for detecting fraudulent behaviour with Neural Networks.

Good code is important! Naming is one of the most difficult things! A good software architecture is art! Creating software is building up an evolutionary, complex, fascinating, social process which should be done with care!
