I have been making art of one sort or another since 1980 and believe good draftsmanship to be a prerequisite of good art. I always have a drawing book in use, drawing from life and experience. I paint in oil, acrylic... anything really. I enjoy the process of making a picture as much as the picture itself. When an idea or mark or texture works on one I transfer it to others, letting the picture develop as I go. The lino cut is an important part of my work, where the graphic and immediate mark-making suit the way I think. The technical process aligned with the creative mark.
