Before I decided to haul all of my belongings to Berkeley as a marketing director from the sunny hills of L.A. I wore a number of professional hats. I’ve worked as a data driven inventory specialist for the Apple Store at The Grove, was a social media intern at The Spellbound Group managing accounts for the likes of Janis Joplin and The Doors and managed the social media sites for Stetson Powell Orthopedics, Cynthia Powell M.D, and Coast Sports.
When I wasn’t at work, I loved producing artists at my home studio (Livecat Studios), and connecting with local musicians. I moved to Berkeley to utilize what I’d learned from marketing in the music industry. I wanted to work with entrepreneurs and startups because I mean let’s face it, whether in music or business, successful marketing is all about making a brand look cool!
Now that I do marketing consultation, I have had the great opportunity to work with many amazing startups such as GestureKit, Bead Relief, and 78 West Collective Co. More recently, I’ve been working closely with Nevara (nevara.org) building experiments that bridge the gap between local farmers and the East bay communities. Projects like: crowd funding money for local farmers in exchange for a share of their harvest, promoting a delivery service from farmers markets right to people’s doors, and various research of demographics to optimize project success.
While I may have shifted gears a bit to focus on the marketing side of business, music will always be my number one passion. I’m not booking venues or recording singer/songwriters anymore, but instead choosing to focus on production. Everything from folk to electronic. Need some background music for your next Kickstarter campaign? Designing a new mobile video game, but lacking a soundtrack? Let me know!
I've just recently began an online community art project called Dug Up Moles where we collect a variety of journal entries, poetry, art, etc. and post it anonymously on our blog. We wish to revive the lost pages of people's old sketchbooks or journals and give them a new space to be admired. Check it out at: http://dugupmoles.wordpress.com
I’ve lived and loved all the services that I offer, and look forward to getting together with folks who are passionate about inspiring some positive changes in their industry. Let’s get together over Skype, or in the real world for a chat, and see how we can make your presence more profitable.
