Communities coming together have the power to change the world, and I've spent the last 10+ years building innovative organizations to help unlock that power through technology, community organizing, and social enterprise. I'm the founder of Spendrise, a platform for creating positive change at all the places you spend money.

I work, write, and speak on strategies for scaling social impact, and I'm interested in how technology can drive social good. I'm on the board of the Chinese Progressive Association (San Francisco), an avid reader, aspiring home cook, and proud uncle.

I grew up outside Chicago and now live in DC by way of the Bay Area.
