My name is Eric Mingelgreen, and I'm proud to say that I'm an activist for LGBT equality in the United States. For the past two summers I have been involved with the Human Rights Campaign's Manhattan Office, where I work as a canvasser and a field manager. In my capacity as a canvasser, it is my responsibility to stand on the streets of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens to greet civilians and explain the various problems facing the LGBT community.
