Erica Hilton
Washington, DC
I am a social media innovator, strategic communicator, community builder and a forever learning student. After earning a bachelor's degree in Communications Arts at Johnson C. Smith University in North Carolina, I relocated to Washington, DC where I currently works as an Online Activism Manager managing the web presence including the website and social media for an international labor union representing more than 500,000 members.
I have 4 years of professional and internship experience. My other previous digital experience includes maintaining a nonprofit’s electronic newsletter, email marketing, website content management and developing an internal blog for a federal agency. My writing on technology for digital communications has been featured on PR Daily, a resource for communication professionals. Also, I have hosted workshops and participated in panels on social media.
While my work focuses on digital media, I have also earned media placements within the top 20 DMAs, written speeches for executive-level government officials, produced commercials and videos and interviewed athletes and celebrities such as Musiq Soulchild for a university-based piloted news show.
