I hail from the small town of Louisburg, NC, which is about 30 minutes NE of Raleigh, NC. I grew up in a family of educators, who always supported, loved and encouraged me.
I went to Clark Atlanta University for my B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics. I spent 4 years interning with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The same year I graduated from college, I started working at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) as an engineer. I went back to graduate school at Georgia Tech, where I got my Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science.
During my time at NASA I have had the honor of leading projects and proposals, performing and publishing data analysis results from remotely sensed data via NASA Earth satellites. From 2016-2022, I worked in the Office of STEM Engagement, where I serve as the Deputy Manager for NASA's Space Grant Program. Currently, I am a Program Executive supporting Earth Science Flight Missions in the Science Mission Directorate.
