Hello world! I am a junior at Grand Valley State University. I value compassion, truth, and kindness. I am an organized, strong, friendly, problem solving leader. I want to combine education with compassion in the field of healthcare. I want to work in patient advocacy to help others navigate the healthcare system with confidence. I also enjoy the aspects of narrative medicine in which patients tell you their history in a way that is personal and revealing of who they really are as a person. Narrative medicine puts patients at ease in a high stress environment. I strive to further my education in Public Health. My dream job would be to work with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), since type 1 diabetes or juvenile diabetes is a cause near and dear to my heart.
