Erica Ross

A native of Cranbrook, BC, Erica has been playing piano for most of her life, learning under Wendy Guimont, Tim Plait, and Arne Sahlen before being accepted into the Bachelor of Music program as a piano concentrator at the University of British Columbia in 2006. There she studied under Dr. Terence Dawson for both private lessons and collaborative coachings and completed her B.Mus in October 2011. She has collaborated with instrumentalists and vocalists both at UBC and in the wider Vancouver community.

Although classically trained, Erica has played for and music directed multiple musical theatre productions, and has spent the past six summer seasons with the Wildhorse Theatre at Fort Steele Heritage Town. At the Wildhorse she has divided her time between playing for theatre shows and street scenes, composing, arranging, accent and vocal coaching, acting, and, this past summer, musical directing. She is also an experienced improviser in many styles.
