Co-Founder and Director of Bold Commerce, a Winnipeg, Manitoba technology company focusing on building specialized applications to enhance the functionality of eCommerce stores built on Shopify, the world’s largest online sales platform.

Eric co-founded Bold in 2013 with his brother Yvan Boisjoli, and friends Jason Myers and Stefan Maynard. Along with Yvan, Eric was one of the original two developers in the company; he now oversees more than 30 developers working on 25 projects at any one time.

Between January 2013 and June 2016, Bold went from a total of four employees to 100 employees (and growing).

Prior to Bold, Eric worked at several small companies where he built ecommerce websites, wearing many hats at each place he worked. He was responsible for every part of the building process from gathering details to designing and building the project, setting up the servers, and finally getting everything up online and running smoothly. He then started his own company, called Erk’s Werks, where he grew his understanding of running a business and continued to hone his development skills at the same time.

But he hasn’t only spent time in the tech world; Eric was a member of the Canadian Army Reserves for three years, where he learned valuable lessons about leadership from his commanding officers.

Eric is proud of Bold’s ability to help thousands of merchants make their living by enabling them to more effectively sell their products and services. He hopes the Bold success story inspires other young developers and entrepreneurs, and shows them they can do extraordinary things right here in Manitoba.
