I'm Eric, a New Hampshire-based grants manager, DIY enthusiast, and outdoor explorer. Whether I'm hiking mountain trails, renovating our century-old home, experimenting with projects at MakeIt Labs, or getting my hands dirty in the garden, I love learning new skills and creating things that last.

By profession, I work in grants management with the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service, helping support programs that strengthen local and regional food systems across the country. What I enjoy most about my work is helping people turn big ideas into real projects that make a difference in their communities.

Outside of work, I'm always working on something. My wife, Faren, and I purchased our home in Milford, New Hampshire, and much of my free time is spent restoring, improving, and maintaining our 1910 house. From painting and carpentry projects to landscaping, drainage systems, and gardening, I enjoy the challenge of figuring things out and doing the work myself whenever I can.

One of the most meaningful journeys of my life has been hiking New Hampshire's 48 4,000-foot mountains. What began as a simple goal became an experience that taught me resilience, confidence, and the value of taking one step at a time toward something bigger. The lessons I learned on the trail continue to shape how I approach challenges in every part of my life.

I'm also a proud member of MakeIt Labs in Nashua, where I enjoy exploring woodworking, fabrication, and creative projects. I've always been fascinated by how things work, and I love the process of learning, building, and solving problems. If there's a skill I don't have yet, chances are I'll spend an evening researching it and then give it a try.

When I'm not working on a project, you'll often find me hiking, photographing New England landscapes, planning the next home improvement adventure, or simply spending time with Faren and our two cats, Lulu and Mimi.

I believe some of life's best experiences come from curiosity, hard work, and a willingness to try something you've never done before. Whether it's climbing a mountain, tackling a renovation project, learning a new craft, or helping someone solve a difficult problem, there's always something new to discover.

This site is where I share those adventures, projects, lessons learned, and the occasional success—or failure—along the way. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll follow along on the journey.
