Mr. Eric Cherry is pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina Central University majoring in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security. Eric sought out to become a United States Marshal at an early age because he knew that he wanted to be more than just a local police officer. Thinking that he was taking the necessary approach to joining the department, he joined the military straight out of high school at 17 years of age. He served in the United States Army for 11 years which consisted of 5 overseas deployments ranging anywhere from 8 to 15-month rotations. He was in very stringent conditions during each of the deployments which made him appreciate life more. Eric was instilled with the values necessary to survive any conditions that he encountered. He is adamant about doing what is right as he is a son, brother, father, classmate, coworker, and friend to many. Eric is as passionate about the kitchen or grill as he is his work. Eric is not a follower by any means and proves his leadership abilities day in and day out by providing selfless service and helping those in need.
