Eric Coomes

As a DJ, Eric is passionate about music and spins a variety of the latest dance music in his sets. Within the last year, Eric has played at events ranging from fashion shows, fundraisers, twilight happy hours, conferences and wine tastings to Friday and Saturday night headlining gigs at the hottest venues. Eric has DJed with Dave Aude, Adam Freeland, DJ Five, DJ Gusto, OB-One, Joe Maz, Rick Rude, DJ Turbulence, DJ Cheapshot, The Crystal Method and more. Eric currently holds residencies at VooDoo Lounge Harrah's Kansas City and Lucky Strike Lounge. Eric has also DJed at several of Kansas City's premier young professional events, including Party Arty http://partyarty.org, T9 http://terrorparty.com, and more.

In 2010, Eric created and hosted a series of dance music charity events branded as "Dance for the Kids," which raised money for Young Variety Kansas City. The series culminated with an event at Midland Theater: http://vimeo.com/11835593.

In 2011, Eric worked with the LAVO New York marketing team for five weeks to help execute events on-site, including shows for Sidney Samson, A-Trak, Tiesto and LMFAO.

Eric is also currently a freelance copywriter for Mixed In Key http://www.mixedinkey.com, the award-winning DJ software that simplifies harmonic mixing. Mixed In Key is used by the world's best DJs, including David Guetta, Kaskade, Pete Tong, and thousands more. Eric is working with the Mixed In Key team to write a series of articles to help DJs improve and advance their careers.
