Eric Emms

I am a professional gemmologist and gem trader at Eric C. Emms FGA DGA Limited working and living in London, UK, having been in the gem and jewellery trade since the late 1970s. I learnt how to grade diamonds and identify coloured stones and natural pearls, and taught diamond grading gemmology for many years.

I established my own gem laboratory and having sold it and stopped teaching about gems I interest myself with trading fine diamonds and untreated coloured stones. I follow the latest developments in diamonds (responsible sourcing and man-made diamonds) to what's happening in the coloured stone trade.
