Eric Jamison II

A graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Eric G. Jamison II, has earned Bachelor degrees in Chemistry as well as Anthropology from Lincoln University (Pa), a Master of Science degree in Applied Chemistry from Delaware State University, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. As a result of participating in community engagement activities all over the state of Maryland, his experiences have led him to begin to establish himself in his community as a leader by participating in activities that promote youth education and development through Rising Over Standards and Excelling, (ROSE) Inc., a 501(c)3 organization, where he serves as the Executive Director and Co-founder. Specifically, he has spoken at high schools about violence, social etiquette, leadership, unity, and decision-making. He has provided LGBT teenagers with HIV/AIDS health education and testing services as a volunteer for the STAR TRACK organization. Moreover, he has collaborated with researchers at Johns Hopkins University and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America© to develop a mentoring program curriculum for at-risk violent youth. Shortly thereafter, he developed an anti-bullying curriculum tailored to for the Baltimore City Public School System. He has had the opportunity to refine his skills, and make differences in the lives of young men he encounters through events he͛s developed and led such as one-day mentoring events consisting of workshops and fun outings, ROSE's annual Back2School Drive that has serviced over 800 youth in Baltimore City over a two year period, and the Coats for Cocktails fundraiser that provided winter gear for over 100 families. He has also served as a mentor for underprivileged middle school youth via the Higher Achievement Program for the past four years, where he also assists in the development of mentoring initiatives. He is a recipient of many awards from various institutions for his work with youth populations, most notably the Baltimore City Youth Commission's 2015 'We Are The Dream Award' for outstanding leadership the Baltimore City. This experience has allowed him to start the REGAL Women and ROYAL Men Achievement Program, servicing underserved youth in Baltimore City. Eric values and advocates for justice and equality for youth and underserved populations.
