Over his career as an accomplished scholar at elite research Universities, Doctor Erick Guerrero has secured more than 8 million dollars in funding from the National Institute of Health for multiple research studies on implementation and racial/ethnic disparities in healthcare. Dr. Erick Guerrero earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, where he also worked as Teaching Faculty. In 2018, he founded the I-LEAD Institute, which prepares the healthcare workforce to eliminate disparities in access and engagement in addiction and mental health treatment.

Dr. Guerrero’s work has garnered several accolades, including an honorable mention for the Society for Social Work and Research Excellence in Research Award and the Best Scientific Poster in his area at the 2020 NIH Dissemination and Implementation Conference. After earning his Ph.D., he completed an implementation science fellowship at Washington University at Saint Louis in 2015, and a business entrepreneur fellowship at Yale University in 2020. Dr. Erick Guerrero has also chaired and continuously supported doctoral student training and mentoring in Healthcare, Management and Organizations. These efforts were recognized by leading researchers in his field at national conferences in 2020 and 2021.
