Erick Mendieta, was born in Guatemala from Nicaraguan parents and did part of his studies in Costa Rica and then completed his bachelor's and master's in Puerto Rico. His area of interest is the stranger in the OT (alien, resident, immigrant) and its ethical implication for Christians. His goals after graduate with a PhD in Hebrew Bible is to teach and write books and articles. He also wants to be more involved in shaping an immigration position for his denomination and become a scholar who advocate for a biblical and Christian approach to the issue social justice and immigration.
