Interesting enough personal pain can be the exact remedy needed to provoke the heart to feel compassion. I knew a decision had to be made in my life regarding my personal tragedy- I had to either trust God loved me deeply and trust He would see me through, or fall apart in my pain and waste away into deep bitterness. Bitterness was not an option for me.

I desperately needed an outlet; something that would remind me that there is justice, goodness in the world despite the darkness we often face. I needed an opportunity to shine bright for Christ despite the sorrow in my heart. Trades of hope has offered me great healing by giving me opportunity to work in unity with women who have the same compassionate focus- breaking cycles of poverty and sex trafficking worldwide.
