Eric Lambert
Program Coordinator in Portland, Oregon
I'm a lifetime learning, outside the box thinking, exploration seeking, jack of all trades, master of some. I feel energized communicating with people whether it be public speaking, teaching, pitching, mediating, writing or listening. I'm passionate and enthusiastic about people, ideas and organizations that contribute positively in our community.
After graduating from SUNY Albany with degrees in Sociology and History I set off for a six month trip to Taiwan for work and travel. Six months turned into seven years that gave me experience in education, communication, culture, journalism, language, surfing, climbing, mountaineering, and international travel. During my time there I taught English and wrote for a Taiwanese travel magazine.
Yearning for a new challenge, I returned to the US in 2010 with two goals: get involved in the environmental field and live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I was fortunate to get involved with Washington State University Extension where I coordinate a program focused on helping people reach their stewardship and entrepreneurship goals. As a 'one man team' I organize community events, facilitate and teach workshops, market our mission, and provide excellent customer service, all while doing copious amounts of reporting.
Most recently I've been studying digital marketing and multimedia, website design and coding, and finishing up a Professional Sales Certificate.
