Eric Broomfield

I was born in Ill. but have spent most of my life in Arizona. I am married to the most wonderful person in the world. I am a musician, historian, luthier (I repair non-fretted string instruments) and I run a Summer symphony orchestra. I am in a place where I cannot tell most people about being an atheist or skeptic as it would effect my work in getting gigs, students and and repairs. I have been a skeptic before the word became fashionable. Like many other's Carl Sagan had a profound effect on me while growing up. While I was a long way down that road anyway Sagan showed me that it was OK to think that way. I have also studied and taught history. That is a field that needs a skeptic's touch. So much of the dialog I hear and read today shows a profound ignorance of not only science but of history as well.
