Eric Lux
Eric Lux comes by his speed naturally: his mother raced in the Firestone Firehawk sports car series when she was pregnant with Eric. At the age of sixteen, he became one of the first sixteen-year-old to finish the classic Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona and at seventeen, he was the youngest winner in the Grand-American Rolex Sports Car Series.
He is considered one of the more versatile and talented young drivers, carrying experience that belies his early 20’s age. He has raced over two dozen different race cars in a dozen series, achieving success in a wide variety of machinery including Prototypes, Sports Cars, Stock Cars and Karts.
In 2011, Eric captured the American Le Mans Series LMPC Driver's Championship with two wins and four podiums and also won the Rookie of the Year. The road to those honors started when he was thirteen years old. He raced in six different Karting classes, taking home two first place trophies, two second place, and three third place honors in four years. Unlike some drivers who become instructors as their carriers wind down, Eric spreads his talent as a driver coach in a number of professional & amateur racing series; as well as several private racing circuits across North America.
Most recently, Eric signed to race for Dyson Racing Team with Michael Marsal in the #20 Lola Mazda B09/86 Prototype. He is running the six sprint races this year in the top LMP1 category.
