For nearly 30 years Eric Marsh, Sr has been a father, a mentor, and a community advocate. A Community Engagement professional whose work has been nationally recognized, Eric has led engagement and outreach initiatives in local government, public health and public media.
Eric is an advocate for healthy families and a champion for Black men and boys, and promotes the importance of healthy fatherhood practices. He has recently served as a Board member for NAMEN (North American Men Engage) and Board Chairman for the Men's Center for Growth and Change. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Fathering Circle, a 501c3 peer support organization for fathers and father figures.
Eric is also an experienced group facilitator, having led group sessions on ending IPV, bullying and gun violence prevention as well as healthy parenting practices and child development, and African-centered Rites of Passage for youth. A seasoned public speaker, he has given keynotes and presentations on the importance of civic engagement, equitable parenting practices, fatherhood as a catalyst for change and several other topics.
Eric is currently the Manager of the Community and Engagement team for WHYY News, Philadelphia's PBS and NPR affiliate station.
