Eric Race

A former fireman with the Stockton Fire Department in Central California, Eric Race founded Atlas Lift Tech as the only outsourced safe patient handling firm in the San Francisco area. In his current capacity as board director and president, Eric Race provides hospitals nationwide with a pool of highly experienced professionals to implement comprehensive in-house safe patient handling movement (SPHM) programs. In addition to his executive responsibilities with Atlas, he has lent his insight to industry professionals as a speaker for the Annual Safe Patient Handling & Movement Conference and The Risk Authority of the Stanford University Medical Network.

Eric Race has been active in the health-care sector for over a decade, and his knowledge includes hands-on experience in emergency care gained from his time as a paramedic and EMT. In addition to working on the lift teams of various Level 1 trauma centers throughout Contra Costa County, he launched the weekend and night lift team program at John Muir Medical Center. An experienced rescue technician, Eric Race was also a field trainer for Tuolumne County Search and a Rescue and RS1 (rope rescue and trench rescue) instructor for the State Fire Marshall.
