Eric Schnabel has built a life defined by service, discipline, and responsibility through a long-standing career in the military, government, and community leadership. With decades of service in uniform, he has remained actively engaged in national security and continues to earn the respect of those who served with him. From his first steps into military service, he has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and focus.

He began his military journey in 1995, enlisting in the U.S. Army as an infantryman. After earning a commission from the Virginia Military Institute, he gained experience at both the enlisted and officer levels. With airborne and Ranger training, he completed six combat deployments across Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Persian Gulf.

He served with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, maintaining jump status for over 10 years and completing 82 jumps, earning him Master Rated Airborne Wings. His leadership roles included commanding troops during Operation Iraqi Freedom and other missions in Afghanistan, where he directed complex operations, guided units through extended conflicts, and supported mission success.

As a Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, he managed operations for organizations of over 800 and 770 personnel. His work in logistics, aviation support, intelligence, and planning led to multiple Bronze Star recognitions for outstanding performance in combat environments.

Later, he contributed to strategic planning and policy development at the Pentagon. Serving on the Office of the Secretary of Defense Staff, Joint Staff, and Army Staff, he worked closely with senior leaders. In his role as Deputy Director and Chief of the Assessments Branch, he led evaluations across military services. As Director of Joint Integration, he supported the Close Combat Lethality Task Force and helped secure funding for training, research, and equipment.

After retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, he entered the private and public sectors, focusing on business development tied to defense and veteran support. He also held leadership roles in nonprofits and community organizations. Above all, he values his family and considers his marriage and daughter his proudest accomplishments. Eric Schnabel remains guided by the same values that shaped his years of service.
