Eric Treu

Eric is currently working in Business Planning for Gaikai, the Sony Computer Entertainment company behind PlayStation Now. In his time at Gaikai, he developed a fully integrated operational model to incorporate the underlying network deployment with regional customer and partner launches.

Piror to Gaikai, Eric studied at USC Marshall School of Business. He interned at Qualcomm Labs, evaluating intiatives in Connected Home, Cloud Infrastructure, and Mobile Access, analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and key opportunities for Qualcomm. In addition, he developed a model analyzing mobile phone trends and opportunities for growth within seven rural markets in Africa.

At USC Marshall, Eric served on the board of the American Finance Association (AFA) and Graduate Asian Business Society (GABS). Eric had previously served as the Co-Director of the Marshall MBA Ambassador program. He earned a place on the Dean's Honors List and was a finalist for International High Tech Strategy Case Competition sponsored by Ericsson and Boston University School of Management.

Prior to Marshall, he was an investment banker for five years at Redwood Capital, a New York City-based boutique investment bank focused on the tech, media and telecom sectors. At Redwood, Eric developed key financial analysis for his clients and co-authored several industry reports, including Communications Software and Digital Music.

Following his graduation from the University of California, Los Angeles, Eric spent a year in Beijing studying Mandarin Chinese and interning at a local textile trading firm.

Eric enjoys spending his free time outdoors - running, snowboarding, and socer are his favorite activities, and he has recently added surfing to the list. Indoors, Eric enjoys reading about the latests trends in tech and media interrupted by the not-so-infrequent multiplayer gaming sessions.
